Albert Walter Weinrich, 88, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 2,2025. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Weinrich. His funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. downtown chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service in Stuhr’s Downtown Chapel.

Al was born September 8, 1937 in St. Louis, MO, son of Albert August Weinrich and Zelda Irene Weinrich. He was a graduate of Missouri School of Mines, now part of University of Missouri, Drexel University, and Purdue University. He worked in advanced communications leading teams that built and launched satellites.

Al was an extremely positive person and a cheerleader for everyone’s success and happiness He reveled in conversations and loved to hear and tell stories. He loved his family and life. He will be missed greatly.

He is survived by a daughter, Lyne W. Fletcher (Eric) of Tampa, FL, 3 sons, Steven M. Weinrich (Holly) of York, PA, Daniel B. Weinrich of Yardley, PA, and Peter C. Weinrich of Morrisville, PA and grandchildren: Benjamin R. Fletcher of Girdwood, AK, Nicholas D. Fletcher (Katie) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Bridget M. Fletcher (Brandon) of Ashland, OR, Alexander X. Weinrich of York, PA, and Tyler A. Weinrich (Abby) of Doylestown, PA and 2 great-grandchildren: Lilly K. Fletcher and Leo D. Fletcher of St. Petersburg.
