Alberta Sylvia Brenizer

Alberta "Sylvia" Brenizer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend,

passed away surrounded by family on September 23, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona. She was born

on April 29, 1940, in Flint Michigan to Albert M. Fekete and Valeria Fekete nee Gaspar. She

moved to Phoenix, Az in 1944 with her family.

Sylvia leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through her three children: Mike Mossman

(spouse Jannis), Michelle Malnar (spouse Ken), and Jason Brenizer (spouse Michelle). She was

also a doting grandmother to seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

After graduating from Phoenix Union H.S. in 1959, Sylvia continued her studies at Phoenix

College for the dental program. Later, she became a Dental Assistant Instructor for vocational

colleges in Phoenix and Prescott before embarking on a successful career as a business owner.

She retired in 1993 to focus on her family and her passions.

After High School, she married Wesley Mossman and moved to Germany as a military wife,

they had two children, Mike and Michelle, they were married for 10 years. She later married

Jerry Brenizer with whom she owned rental businesses in Phoenix and Prescott and Rocky's

Tavern in Prescott, AZ. They had one son, Jason, and were married for 20 years. When she

moved to the Wickenburg, AZ area she met John C. Swartz whom she loved dearly and they

were together for 20 years.

She was a proud volunteer and board member of the "We Care Program" in Wickenburg for

many years. She was also very active in helping the grief support group for the community.

Sylvia loved to travel, especially her trips to Hungary and spending time amongst the trees,

streams and mountains. She always looked forward to seeing her California "family" as often as

possible. Her love of family knew no bounds. Sylvia cherished time she spent with her children,

grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many close friends. With true Western spirit, Sylvia

cherished her many mule rides with husband John Swartz.

Sylvia will be remembered for her quick wit, kind heart, and her commitment to community as a

mentor and sponsor. She faced her battle with cancer with grace and courage, inspiring all who

knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friends of Bill W in Sylvia's

memory.

Sylvia will be deeply missed but her spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of all who knew

and loved her.

A memorial service will be held a Wickenburg Funeral Home (187 N. Adams St, (928) 684-

2081) on September 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM.
