Alberta Elizabeth (Clarrey) Greenwell, age 85, of Tonganoxie, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Richmond Healthcare and Rehab, in Richmond, Kansas.
Alberta was born on June 27, 1940, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Clyde and Bertha (Ebberts) Clarrey. She attended high school near Linwood, Kansas.
On January 25, 1958, Alberta was united in marriage to Robert Dean Greenwell in Lawrence, Kansas. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Rhonda, Edward, and Connie Greenwell. Alberta and Robert also lovingly welcomed Christopher into their home as their own. Together, Alberta and Robert owned and operated a meat processing plant in Tonganoxie, Kansas, for 56 years. Alberta was also a devoted homemaker, always caring for her family and ensuring her home was filled with love.
Her family remembers her as a firecracker, someone who always spoke her mind and told the truth. She had a strong spirit and a caring heart, qualities that left a lasting impact on her loved ones.
Alberta's legacy continues through her children, Rhonda (Alex), Edward (Kristin), Connie Greenwell, and Christopher Molder; her grandchildren, Chanel Erives, Evan Greenwell, Mandi Bethard, and Jonas Bethard; and her great-grandchildren, Hailey Molder, Emiliano, Gabriella, and Lilliana Erives, and Ben and Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Bertha Clarrey.
Services are not planned at this time. Condolences may be left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
