Alberta Gregory

Rena Alberta (Cramer) Gregory
91, of Mooresville, passed away on February 25, 2026 in St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville. Alberta was born on August 19, 1934 in Fortville, Indiana to the late Willie and Odessa Cramer.

In her younger years, Alberta worked in bookkeeping for the First National Bank in Indianapolis. She then married Gene Gregory together they enjoyed working on the farm and raising their family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended Mt. Gilead church when her health allowed. She enjoyed crocheting, baking pies, cookies, fudge and homemade noodles around the holidays for family and friends to enjoy. Additionally, she loved gardening, watching the hummingbirds and filling their feeders, watching game shows like, Wheel of Fortune, and Press Your Luck. She will be remembered for her patient, caring, kind and loyal personality who loved rocking her grandchildren and her dogs in her favorite rocking chair.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Gregory, and a sister Leota Lockhart.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Gregory (Gail) of Mooresville and Rodney Gregory (Julie) of Mooresville; grandchildren Audra (Danny) Brown, Wade Gregory, Rebeka (Kevin) Thompson, Evan Gregory, Cheyenne Gregory, Kaci Gregory; great grandchildren Addison Thompson, Oaklee Thompson and Layla Renae Brown, who is due to arrive next month.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Alberta's life on Monday, March 2nd from 4-7pm at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Centerton Cemetery.
