Alberta Grace Jasnoch, 90, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; was formally living in Columbus, Ohio; passed away November 8, 2025. She was born December 29, 1934 to the late J. Ellis and Grace (Anderson) Shaffer. She married Garry Allen Jasnoch, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2012.
She leaves behind her youngest, Whitney (Sherry Jasnoch); grandchildren, all of her siblings, and many other family members, friends and neighbors.
Along with her siblings, her husband and parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her son Victor Jasnoch on July 18th, 1986.
Alberta taught piano for many years, opening up her home to do so. When she wasn’t teaching or playing the piano, she was a dedicated homemaker, mom, and spouse. When she wasn’t working or caring for the family, Alberta loved to garden extensively and to read the Bible. She also learned a great deal of the Greek language at Riverside Bible Church..
Immediate family will greet friends and family from 4 to 6pm, Thursday November 20, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions – Columbus, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus 43231. A service to honor Alberta’s life will be held at 11am, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Riverside Bible Church at 5330 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43235. Burial to happen at Trenton Township Cemetery, Sunbury, Ohio, prior to services.
