Alberta Lagrone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson Memorial Home & Heartland Cremation Services - Plainfield on Jul. 31, 2025.
Our beloved Mom and Grandma, Alberta LaGrone, passed away on Tuesday, July 29th surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 1, 1937, to Louis "Jack" and Goldie Friar.

She was the foundation of her family, giving them unconditional love, strength and guidance. Her children, grandchildren and fur babies were her world. She loved her family more than anything in life and dedicated her whole life to each and every one of them. She had a passion for playing music, especially the accordion and organ and loved dancing but most of all, she loved spending time with her family

She is one of the sweetest souls to walk this earth and will be deeply missed. Her smile would light up the room and she was so loved by everyone. She leaves behind traditions and legacies that will live on in us forever. Life will never be the same without her and she will forever be in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Jenny) Casey, Rick (Lesa) Casey, Tammy (Mark) Rehbock and Tiffany (Billy) Watts. She is blessed with 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, as well as many special family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved family members, husband James LaGrone, son Mickey Casey, grandson Brandon Rehbock, granddaughter Mandy Casey, great grandsons Taylor and Chistopher Casey, parents Louis "Jack" and Goldie Friar, brother Gale Robert Friar, her dear sister Roberta Hayes (who passed away 5 days prior to Alberta's passing). The love and the bond between the two of them was unbreakable.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 1st from 3 pm to 8 pm at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W. Renwick Road Plainfield, IL 60544 with Funeral Services on Saturday, August 2nd at 10 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
