Alberta Darlene Murray passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in Burleson, TX after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 71 years old. She is survived by her husband, Nick Murray, her two sons, Ben and Scott, her daughter-in-law Brittany, her four grandchildren: Elise, Alton, Adalynn, and Brett, and her two sisters, Karen Beaver and Janet Astner. She was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Astner, and her brother Michael Astner.

Alberta very much enjoyed spending time and joining in activities with her grandkids, including shopping trips to spoil them. She also loved reading and spending time in nature, both at the beach and in the mountains. She was active in her weekly Bible study group and always looked forward to that time with her friends.

Alberta graduated from Union College in Lincon, NE in 1975. She worked and volunteered at multiple Adventist institutions, including the schools where her sons and grandkids attended.

Her memorial service will be at the Arlington Adventist church in Arlington, TX on December 13th at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks for donations, if desired, to be made to Burton Adventist Academy (https://burtonacademy.org/scheduled-giving), where three of her grandkids are currently enrolled.

Alberta had a strong faith in Jesus and looked forward to His soon return, as Revelation 22:20 says: "He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" when we all will be reunited in Him.
