John Clinton Reed, age 87 of Ft. Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. He was born to the late Marjorie and Roy Clinton Reed on August 2, 1938, in Marlin, Texas. He leaves behind a loving family and many dear friends.

John took pride in his Christian faith and was a dedicated member of Arborlawn Methodist Church, and an active part of Bible Study Fellowship. He was proud of his service in the Marine Reserves and very thankful for his 35 years of service at International Harvester/Navistar. Over the years he became long-time friends with so many fellow workers and customers alike. John had a passion for woodworking and much of his craftsmanship will be displayed in his family's homes for generations. John enjoyed spending time outdoors and cherished his time at the deer lease outside Llano, not only hunting and fishing but seeing the spring Hill Country flowers each year with Linda. A lifetime Aggie fan, he loved watching sports, especially baseball, cooking, and being with the people he loved.

John is survived by his sons and daughters-in-laws: Johnny and Bernadette Reed, Michael and Tracie Reed, Sara Reed, and Greg Reed; his grandchildren: Sydney Thornell and her husband, Kyle; Collin Reed and his wife, Summer; Christopher Reed; Haylee Clark and her husband, RJ; and his great-grandchildren: Ledger, Forrest, Maisie, Carson, Hank, Ivy, and McKinley. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Helen Ann and Gary Martin.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Knightstep Reed; his son, Robby Reed; his daughter-in-law, Misti Reed; and his great-grandson, Bennet Clark.

A private family service will be held to honor John's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in John's memory.
