Alberta McRae Thompson was born in Raeford, North Carolina on April 30, 1937, to Lille McRae Cooper. She departed this life on December 27, 2024. Alberta was a sweet and caring person. She was employed with the Southeastern General Hospital System, where she worked many years as a CNA. Alberta was a faithful member of Smith Chapel Bible Church of God over sixty-five years. She was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, she loved the Lord and took her walk of faith seriously. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, David Thompson, her daughter, Brenda Kay Thompson, her mother, Lillie Cooper and most of her siblings. Alberta was a faithful wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend. She leaves behind to cherish her loving and fond memories, her son, Charles Thompson (Kay), Auburn, GA daughter, Arthela Ramey (Rex) Lawrenceville, GA. One granddaughter, Sandra Joubert, Loganville, GA. Four grandsons, David Thompson (Mary), St. Albans, WV, Trey Ramey, Dunwoody, GA, Eric Ramey and Ryan Ramey, both of Lawrenceville GA. Two great grandsons, Jude Jobert, TX, and Chance Smith, Loganville GA. One great granddaughter, Isabella, one sister, Betty Jean Johnson, Lumberton, NC. One brother-in-law, John Paul Ruth, Atlanta, GA and a host of Thompsons, of St. Albans, WV, and many cousins and friends.
