Lewis Pittman 47 departed this life on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. Lewis was born on February 9, 1978, at Southeastern Medical Center, Lumberton, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his mother: Pauline Pittman, his father: Joseph Stephens; paternal grandparents: James and Isadore Stephens and maternal grandparents: Paul and Annie Lois Pittman, uncles: Lewis Pittman, Edward Lee Pittman, Joseph Pittman and James Lee Stephens, aunts: Isabell Grissett andBarbara Davis. Lewis was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County. Lewis was a hard worker and stayed busy. His most recent jobs were Dycos and Allegiance as a manager. He also previously worked at Elkay, Smithfield Foods and Perdue Farms. Lewis loved to cook, eat chalk, hang out with family and friends, play pool, spades and talk junk. He also loved play fighting and clowning around. Overall, he was well-known and loved by many. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Takeeya Pittman; his daughter: Ny'Kera Pittman both of Lumberton, North Carolina; one sister: Elizabeth Stephens; two brothers: Joseph Taylor and Anthony Hill; two aunts: Barbara McCoy of Fairmont, North Carolina and Mary (Earl) Jenkins; three uncles: James Earl (Mary) Stephens, Glen (Wanda) Stephens and John C. McCall of New York; special friend and brother Stuart Renfrow who always stood by his side through thick and thin, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
