Alberto "Albert" Castellanos, age 95, entered into eternal rest in
San Antonio, Texas, on December 23,2025. He was born in
San Antonio, Texas on December 10th, 1930. Albert lived a long and meaningful life defined by dedication, love of family and steadfast integrity.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Antonia Deleon Castellanos , with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion and partnership. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Manuela Gonzalez, Natalia Martinez and Beatriz Breiten and his parents, Aurellia Oliva Castellanos and Felipe Castellanos.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Grace Goel(Robert), Janet Rodriguez(Danny) and Carol Perez(Gabriel) His legacy continues through his Grandchildren: Tony Felipe Granado Sr (Amanda), Crystal Luderus(James) Jonathan Rodriguez (Alex), Hanna Olivia Rodriguez-Garcia( Adam) Mallory Perez(Raymond) , Zechariah Perez(Janet) He was also blessed to cherish his great grandchildren: Tony Granado Jr, Rayden Herrera, Christopher and Carter Rodriguez, Gavin Kosik, Penelope Perez and many furbabies.
Albert spent his early part of his life in Castroville, Texas, before moving to San Antonio, where he built not only a career but lasting relationships rooted in trust and respect. He devoted 40 years of faithful service as a chef at Oak Hills Country Club, where his strong work ethic and loyalty became his hallmark. He later continued sharing his talents at Pedrotti's North Wind Ranch for an additional 12 years. To those who worked alongside him, Albert was known as dependable, disciplined, and deeply committed to doing things well.
Outside of work, Albert found joy in music. He loved playing the guitar and singing, often sharing these simple pleasures with those around him. His quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and strong work ethic defined him as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He lived by his example, teaching those who knew him the values of perseverance, humility, and consistency.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Albert's life on Saturday, January 10th, from 9:00 am.-11:00am. At Castillo Funeral Home, located at 520 N. General McMullen Drive,
San Antonio, Texas 78228. A fellowship luncheon will follow from 11:30 am-to 1:00 pm at St Dominic's Catholic Church , in the main hall, located at 5919 Ingram Road,
San Antonio, Texas 78228.
Albert Castellanos will be remembered not only for the many years he lived, but for the integrity with which he lived them. His presence will be deeply missed , and his legacy will continue through the generations who carry his values forward.
