Albin Dernovsek, 93, of Bridgeville, formerly of McDonald, South Fayette Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025 in Concordia of Bridgeville.

Albin was born on March 7, 1932 in Sygan, PA, a son of the late William J. and Henrietta D. Bogatz Dernovsek.

Mr. Dernovsek was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was proud of his service time and dedicated to his country.

He was fortunate enough to marry his best friend Marylou, who passed in 2016. They welcomed six children together, a granddaughter and two great granddaughters. Spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was Albin's favorite part of his life.

Surviving are his children; Mary Debra (Gary) Graminski, James "Jimmy" (Elaine) Dernovsek, Barry Dernovsek, Linda (Domenic) Gianotti, granddaughter, Michelle (Andrew) Strittmater, great granddaughters, Mary Elliott and Dylan Faye, and sister, Esther Bierman.

Along with his parents, Albin is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marylou Frances Geisler Dernovsek, sons, Albin W. Dernovsek and Ronald Dernovsek, and brothers, John Dernovsek, Arthur Dernovsek and William Dernovsek.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 10 am – Noon at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Rd. Oakdale (724-693-2800). A Blessing Service will be held following the visitation at Noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery with full Military Honors.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. He lived a long life, and now is with our Lord and Savior.

I remember going to his home over the years, and the last time I was there I was able to see the resting place of everyone in the family for the first time in many years.
