Albin David "Al" Pagorski

Albin D. Pagorski, "Al", 86, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Baptist Health Louisville Hospice. He was born on March 31, 1939 to the late Walter and Virginia (Ratajczyk) Pagorski in Chicago, IL.

Al was a United States Army Veteran, earned his Masters Degree from Prairie State College, and was a retired District Manager for Fox River Water Reclamation District based in Elgin, IL, where a facility was named in his honor. Al retired in 1998 and moved to Louisville, KY, in 2013.

Al was a life-long animal lover, enjoyed a good poker game with his neighbors, blackjack at the casino, and loved a round of golf and fishing in Hayward, WI. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome ("Jerry") Pagorski, and Jerry's wife, Lucy Pagorski.

Al is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lynn (Miller) Pagorski; daughter, Emily Pagorski; and sister, Ruth Bloom (William).

Ratterman Brothers East Louisville, 12900 Shelbyville Rd. "In Middletown" is in charge of funeral arrangements. At Al's request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
