Albino John Lucente Jr., 79, of Pearl River, NY, passed away peacefully on the 20th of July surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 18th 1945, in Maspeth, Queens, to Mary and Albino Lucente Sr., Al was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and patriot whose vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Al's life was defined by hard work and dedication. From delivering newspapers as a young boy to working at High Grade Iron Works, he embraced every job with integrity and pride. He studied network engineering at the College of Staten Island, building a distinguished career spanning over 30 years at Dun & Bradstreet and later at United Parcel Service. A proud veteran, Al was drafted into the United States Army at age 19, serving honorably from 1965 to 1968, and finishing his term at West Point Academy with the rank of Specialist 5.

Al's passions were as big as his heart. He loved the New York Yankees and rarely missed an opportunity to go to the stadium. A firearm enthusiast and lover of Chevy Corvettes, Al took pride in his collections and his 69' Stingray. He had a special place in his soul for animals, especially his beloved dogs, who were his constant companions. He often spoke lovingly of the rainbow bridge and seeing a field full of all the animals he once loved running to greet him. Above all, Al was a family man, fiercely proud of his two sons, Albert and Dominic, and a doting grandfather to Kayla and London, whom he cherished deeply. He was a friend most folks loved to have. He made a friend everywhere he went. His love for music and dance was infectious-whether he was stealing the microphone to belt out Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline or lighting up the dance floor at weddings, Al brought joy to every moment. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of warmth and connection.

Al is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years Catherine, his sons, Albert and Dominic and wife Colleen, and his adored grandchildren, Kayla and London. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Albino Lucente Sr., his brother Robert Nicholas and sister Cecelia Elaine.

Albino John Lucente Jr.'s light will shine on in the hearts of his family and friends. As he often sang, "Sweet Caroline, good times never seemed so good." May his memory be a blessing
