Alejandro Cosio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Puerta Del Cielo Funeral Home on Jun. 16, 2025.
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Alejandro Garcia Cosio on June 12, 2025. Alejandro Garcia Cosio, affectionately known by many as "Chichichi," was a man of humble origins, born on October 19, 1998, in Florida, Cuba. His courage and determination saw him crossing borders and making a home in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Alejandro was a devoted son, a Professional Truck Driver which he studied hard and earned his CDL A License and was very prideful for, and a man with a funny bone that could lighten the heaviest of hearts. His laughter was infectious, his spirit, illuminating. As the saying goes, "A day without laughter is a day wasted," and Alejandro lived by this adage, filling his life and those around him with joy and camaraderie.
Alejandro's love for life was as deep as his love for his family. He was the cherished son of Carlos Garcia Gutierrez and Mirza Cosio and his Father who raised him, Carlos Alberto Mon. He also leaves his beautiful baby boy, Ethan Paul Garcia Rodriguez. He also leaves a host of family and friends. His humble nature, coupled with his courage, made him a rock to those around him, a beacon of light in their lives. He enjoyed the thrill of riding motorcycles and found solace in the virtual world of play station games, a testament to his adventurous spirit and youthful charm. Despite the distance from his birthplace, Alejandro held a special place in his heart for Cuba, his memories from there a cherished part of his life. The love of the individual who remembered him as "the love of my life" is a testament to the deep relationships Alejandro nurtured throughout his life.
A viewing for Alejandro Garcia Cosio will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109. His interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, 06114. As we bid farewell to Alejandro, we remember the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Alejandro has left an indelible mark on our hearts, his spirit living on in the love and laughter he shared generously.
In remembering Alejandro, we invite you to share your memories of him and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us celebrate his life, the joy he brought into ours, and the legacy he leaves behind.
