It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Benjamin Robles Cosio. Benjamin was 68 years of age, born on March 31st of 1956 in Jalisco Mexico and passed away on December 4th of 2024 in Deland Florida. Benjamin was known for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Benjamin enjoyed spending time with his family in Florida, Mexico and Vermont. Benjamin took great pride in celebrating many family functions, such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, quinceanera's, and holidays; and could often be found cooking at the grill for all to enjoy. Benjamin was known for having a big heart and would often give to those who asked for it or if he simply felt that others were in need. He will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, laughter, and generosity. Benjamin was faithful to his religious beliefs and known for attending the Catholic Church in both Pierson Florida and Newport Vermont. Benjamin enjoyed spending his time listening to music, playing poker, pool, horseshoes, and having social drinks with those he cared deeply for. Benjamin was known for being one of the hardest working people that many had ever met; took pride, and excelled in any job that he was employed at.
Benjamin leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Deborah Robles from Pierson Florida, his daughter Valentina Velasquez and her three children Aiden Carpenter, and Ethanial and Alexandria Kambour of Newport Vermont. Christina Vasquez and her two daughters Nadia and Esperanza "Espy" Dalley from Johnson Vermont. Anna Chaffee, her significant other Buddy Cloney "Shorty" and her two children Nevaeh and Peyton Chaffee whom are also from Newport Vermont. Three other grandchildren, Natrelle Riveria Wells of Hong China China, and Brody and Myles Wright, of Derby Line that he held dearly to his heart. Benjamin also leaves behind a sister in law, Denise Emerson of Derby Line Vermont, a nephew Clifford Sawyer, his significant other Tammy Phillips and their daughter Lacey Sawyer of East Charleston Vermont. Nephews Michael Emerson of Pierson Florida, Nathan Albertsman of New York, Joseph Albertsman of Florida; and Aunt, Majory Murphy, of Pierson Florida.
Benjamin also leaves behind his brother, Domingo Robles and his wife Matha, along with his three children Marcos Robles, Pamela Morales, and Connie from Crescent City Florida. His sister Alida Robles and her three children Francisco, Erica, and Ana Verde Robles of Crescent City Florida. And another brother, Beto Robles Cosio, of Jalisco Mexico.
Benjamin was predeceased by his father Marcos Robles Rios, his mother Esperanza Cosio Mesa, and brother Lucieno Robles Cosio of Jalisco Mexico. His daughter Esperanza Robles of Derby Line Vermont; and recently his brother Laurencio Verde of Crescent City. And Sister in law Dawn Emerson of Deland Florida.
Should those who wish to share their sympathies and condolences to Benjamin's family, calling hours will be held on Friday December 13th from 11 am to 12 pm at the Beyers Funeral home located in Astor Florida; with a mass ceremony to follow at 1pm located at the Catholic Church in Pierson Florida on Emporia Road.
