Alejandro Godoy, a cherished son, brother, and friend, left this world too soon on May 1, 2025, at the age of 23. Born on January 11, 2002, in Fort Pierce, Florida, to Antonio Luis Godoy and Irene Trejo Trejo, Alejandro was a beacon of creativity and love throughout his life.
Alejandro spent his childhood in La Cinta, Guanajuato, Mexico, where his early years were shaped by a deep connection to his roots, his family, and the vibrant culture around him. As a preadolescent, he moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, where he continued to grow and thrive, strengthening his bonds with his siblings Emily, Maritza, and Juan Pablo Godoy. Alejandro was the heart of the Godoy family, embracing his role with joy, kindness, and generosity. His grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also played a significant part in shaping his warm and inclusive nature.
A proud graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School's Class of 2021, Alejandro pursued his passion for storytelling and the visual arts by attending F.I.R.S.T. Institute College, where he majored in videography. His sharp eye for detail and his gift for capturing the essence of a moment made him a beloved figure among peers and mentors.
In his professional life, Alejandro was known for his hard work and dedication. He was a respected Sales Associate at both Camping World and Home Depot in Fort Pierce. His colleagues remember him for his willingness to help, his infectious smile, and his ability to brighten even the most routine tasks.
Alejandro's heart was happiest when he was exploring - whether going on long drives, feeling the freedom of the open road, discovering new places, or simply sitting by the beach at sunset. Sunsets at the beach were sacred to him, a time to reflect on the beauty of the world and the transient nature of life. But above all, Alejandro's greatest joy came from his family. He especially cherished the time spent with his little sister Emily, whom he adored and guided with tender love and care.
Alejandro's creative spirit thrived in his passion for filmmaking, always eager to explore new angles and perspectives. He was also an adventurous lover of the culinary arts, enjoying the discovery of new eateries and savoring each bite. At home, he was his father's right-hand man, lending his help on various projects and taking pride in a job well done.
A true film aficionado, Alejandro's love for movies was more than a pastime - it was a way to connect, share stories, and dream. He especially cherished science fiction films like Interstellar
and Inception, which spoke to his love for exploring the mysteries of existence and the human experience. His taste ranged from classic cinema to modern masterpieces, and he was always ready with a thoughtful critique or enthusiastic recommendation.
Those who knew Alejandro describe him as a young man of boundless creativity, generosity, and love. His ability to see beauty in the ordinary, to elevate the everyday to something extraordinary, and to pour his heart into all he did, made him truly special. His presence was a gift to all who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire and guide those he leaves behind.
Alejandro's legacy is one of passion, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing his spirit lives on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth and creativity. Though Alejandro Godoy's story may have ended too soon, the chapters he wrote in the hearts of his family and friends will be cherished and reread for generations to come.
