Alejandro Valdez
March 19, 1955 - May 4, 2023
Alejandro Valdez was born March 19, 1955, to Victor and Maria Valdez in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He fell asleep in death on May 4, 2023, after a short battle with heart failure. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca Valdez, his four daughters Rosalie, Rebecca, Diana, Theresa and three sons Rick, Alejandro Jr., and Cristobal, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as all of his extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts and memories.
Alejandro fought his battle against diabetes for many years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital and doctor visits, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his children, made silly faces with his grandchildren, and even told some light-hearted jokes with the nurses. He was one of the happiest men you'd ever seen, always singing and laughing. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed greatly.
Alejandro held many titles in his life, from jack of all trades, to brother, to husband, to grandpa, but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, all seven of them! He was always there for them, whether he was helping them fix a car, helping with a recipe, or just giving life advice in general. He always made sure everyone had what they needed and if they didn't, he would do whatever it took to provide it.
Alejandro was a big family man and will be missed tremendously, he leaves behind his loving wife Rebecca Valdez and his seven children. His Sisters: Maria Del Rosario Valdez, and Maria Teresa Valdez and brothers: Victor, Manuel, Juan Carlos, Martin Alonso, Santiago. Alejandro now joins his loving sister Raquel Iruegas and parents resting in paradise.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. for immediate family and 5:00-8:00 for all extended family and friends. The funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries South.
