ALEKSANDRA STOS Obituary
Resident of Chicago for 45 years
Visitation for Aleksandra Stos, 88, will be on Friday, February 20, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 21, at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 502 S. Park Blvd, Streamwood. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Aleksandra was born on September 20, 1937, in Poland to the late Bronislaw and Karolina Plichta, and she peacefully passed away on February 12, 2026.
A devoted nurse, she graduated from nursing school in Poland and dedicated her life to caring for others.
She was a very kind, welcoming, and religious person. She loved books, movies, Polish history, and was always on top of current news. She was known for her delicious cooking and great sense of humor.
She loved traveling throughout Poland, Europe, and the United States.
Beloved mother of Marta (Andrzej) Bezkorowajny and Malgorzata "Margaret" (Jeff) Meyers; grandmother to Michal, Mateusz (Joanna), Aleksandra, and Maciej (Karolina) Bezkorowajny, as well as Adam, Daniel, and Gabriel Meyers; great-grandmother of Wawrzyniec and Rachela Bezkorowajny, loving aunt and dear friend to many.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marian, her sisters Stanislawa and Zofia, her brother Wladyslaw, and her son-in-law Stephen Meyers.
