Happy Birthday Alex, it´s your sister Helena and I´m sitting next to mom thinking about you on your 36th birthday today. Not one day goes by without thinking of you, especially today. I wish we could be together to celebrate your birthday and mom can make us food for your special day. I miss you and I love you so much Alex. I know you´re looking after us everyday.

Alex, I write this with the heaviest heart because I still don´t believe you´re gone. It has taken me a lot of time to try and process this and it´s been difficult for me to accept your passing because I just can´t. You were my first friend, my family. Some of my best memories as a child were with us growing up together. I hold a lot of guilt for not staying in touch. I wish there was something I could´ve done to help you and be there for you more. I remember all the times we would play in the back yard, play fight and pretend we were karate masters, play video games, watch Ninja Turtles, when we went to the Beauty and the Beast broadway show, flying to Japan together. You were the closest thing I had to family. You will always be in my heart and I will cherish our memories together forever. I hope you´re resting in peace now with all the angels up above. I know you will always look after me. Until we meet again Alex. I love you. - Your sister/best friend Miya.
