SSGT Alex Fontalvo, U.S.M.C, 24, entered into rest while serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in at Miramar, San Diego, California. He was a graduate of Pasadena High School, Pasadena, Texas in 2004, joining the Marines shortly thereafter. SSGT Fontalvo served four tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. He learned the aircraft mechanic trade as he progressed through the ranks. He will terribly missed but always remembered by his loving family and his Marine buddies. Survivors include his mother, Norma Fontalvo; father, Rolando Fontalvo; son, Dominic; step daughter, Tanika Long; fiancé, Tashina Peshlakai; sisters, Giselle Fontalvo and Elvirita Fontalvo; brother, Rolando Fontalvo, Jr. and Rafael Fontalvo. SSGT Fontalvo also leaves numerous other relatives, a host of friends. "Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand teh answer to my prayer. Honor - Courage - Commitment. Semper Fidelis.
