Alex Hopfensperger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westgor Funeral Home - Neenah on Jun. 5, 2024.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Alex Hopfensperger, 38 years old, of Verona, WI who left us on May 28th, 2024.
Alex was born on May 7th, 1986, to Ron and Debi Hopfensperger in Neenah. Alex graduated from Neenah High School in 2005, he went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Platteville. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he started his career at Monroe Truck as a Mechanical Engineer where he worked for over 10 years.
Alex was a good natured, kind, loyal man with many talents who would drop everything for anyone. He loved his cat Tako who was always by his side. Alex was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing, and camping. He was always game for anything: Playing XBOX, pool, foosball, frisbee golfing, watching and playing fantasy football, board games, and cards especially Sheepshead. Alex loved old cars and drawing. He was a man of many talents: Playing guitar, ukulele, piano, trumpet, movie quotes, experimenting with new recipes, and brewing his own beer.
Alex was survived by his parents, Ron and Debi Hopfensperger; his siblings: Dawn Woodfin, Elizabeth Wilson (Josh Wilson), and Andy Hopfensperger (Tiffany Hopfensperger). He was an amazing uncle to his nieces and nephews: Brett Isajiw (Sami Isajiw and son Bennett) and Avery Isajiw, Edward and Kyle Woodfin, Lily and Lincoln Hopfensperger, Maddie Surgenor, Barrett and Dalylah Wilson; his grandparents: Ron and Marliea Hopfensperger and Alice Hoyer; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alex was preceded by his grandpa, Joseph Hoyer; grandparents, Delores and Elmer Meyer; and an uncle, Brian Ehrgott.
A special thanks to Eric and Katie Maki for giving Tako a home where he will continue to be loved.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, on Saturday, June 22nd, with the visitation from 9:30-11:30am and the service at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
