Funeral services for Alexander Lester Delfosse, 86, will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at GraceWay Church, 4761 W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Rev. Rick McDonald will be officiating.

Alexander (Bud) Delfosse was born on September 29, 1938, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Alphonse and Martha Delfosse. He married Audrey Bostwick and had three children, Debra, Danny and Tina. He came to Shreveport via the United States Air Force and stayed to make a life. He retired from General Motors with over 20+ years of service. He loved to travel with Audrey at the drop of a hat and fish with the grandchildren. He taught all the grandsons to drive and gave Krystal a few lessons, then turned that job over to her dad, David. He loved his church and worked on many projects. He was the Sunday Greeter at the doors of GraceWay.

Bud had many friends both at General Motors and at church. He had a friendship that was more like brothers with Brother Jack Poche. For over 60+ years, these two had a bond that some brothers wished they had. Bud would say that Jack is my brother, and Jack would say the same about Bud. We know Bud will be looking down on all of us and be an angel to all he left behind.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Audrey Delfosse; and daughter, Tina Delfosse Russell. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Debra Ann Delfosse Cox; and son, Danny Lee Delfosse; grandchildren, Alex Russell, Donnie Cox, Kevin Russell, Krystal Ann Cox, Mellissa Delfosse, Johnathan Delfosse, and Christopher Delfosse; great-grandchildren, Damen Russell, Donovan Russell, and Walker Russell. Honoring Bud as pallbearers are Brad McCollum, Donnie Cox, Kevin Russell, and Rickey Cox.

Bud will be greatly missed, but we will forever love and cherish his memory.
