It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Fuentes Jr., a beloved father, stepfather, and friend, who left this world on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on Friday, May 3rd, 1940, in New York City, Alexander lived a life rich with experience and compassion, spending his later years in Brodnax, Virginia.

Alexander is survived by his cherished daughter, Dinavia Serro, and beloved step-daughter, Herschell Tisdale. One grandchild, Dominic Serro. He was predeceased by his dearly missed spouse, Bessie Jean Fuentes, and one brother, whose memories remain close to the family's heart.

After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree, Alexander dedicated many years of his life to his work as a dental technician, bringing smiles to many through his dedication and skill. His professional journey was shaped by his commitment to excellence and his ability to touch the lives of those he met through his work.

A proud member of the Marine Corps, Alexander carried the values of service and honor throughout his life. His love for telescopes and astronomy provided him with endless wonder and fascination as he explored the mysteries of the universe. Captivated by the unfolding stories of the world, he always kept the news on, and he never missed an episode of his favorite television series, NCIS.

Alexander's final arrangements are entrusted to the Cremation Society of Virginia in Clarksville, Virginia, ensuring that his legacy is honored with dignity and grace.

He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his spirit rest in eternal peace, surrounded by stars he so dearly adored.
