Alexander Hochheiser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on Oct. 30, 2024.
Dr. Alexander Hochheiser of Vero Beach FL, formerly of Moorestown and Marlton NJ, passed away in Vero Beach on October 27, 2024. Born on April 21, 1943 in Passaic NJ, Alex lived a full life, enriched by the love of his family, his long career as a family dentist in Burlington County NJ, his athleticism, and his enjoyment of competitive Bridge.
Along with his dental practice his commitment to serving the community included substantial involvement in developing a county dental health program to provide free dental services for needy children, and evaluating and promoting the benefits of fluoride in dental health.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Hochheiser was an active member of the Willingboro Rotary. His appetite for sports included playing offense and defense for his high school football team, rowing for his Alma Mater the University of Pennsylvania, running in marathons, tennis and golf. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and was an avid fan of 1950s music.
Alex's creative side was expressed through writing novels as a hobby and creating delicious desserts with his dental buddies gourmet cooking group.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kathleen Hochheiser nee Rhoades; his children, Jacqueline Palsha (Mark), Tracey Harvey, and Gregory Hochheiser (Angie); his grandchildren, Cameron, Keira, Lyon, Ben, and Joe; his brother, Carl Hochheiser (Yvonne); and he will be sorely missed by his grandnephew, Chase, and grandnieces, Madison, and Sierra, along with many other dear family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Miriam Hochheiser; and his sister, Shari Lynne Weiss (Ken).
A visitation for family and friends will be from 9 am to 11 am, on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 S. and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. A graveside service will follow at Park View Cemetery, 25 Fostertown Rd, Medford, NJ 08055.
