Alexander Kaina Lowe, known to many as "Alika", was born on January 15, 1970, in the beautiful town of Kahuku, Hawaii, USA. With a spirit as vibrant as the Hawaiian sunsets he loved, and a heart as vast as the ocean he grew up by, Alexander lived a life full of authenticity, compassion, and resilience. His radiant smile and charismatic personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. As the renowned writer Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Alexander embodied this sentiment, leaving a legacy of love and warmth that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Alexander found his professional calling in the health care sector, working diligently for Blue Cross of Idaho. His dedication to serving others was not only evident in his career but also in the way he lived his life. He was a beacon of strength and positivity, always lending a helping hand to those in need and encouraging others to find joy in the smallest of things. As he told others, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun." Alexander's ability to bring this wisdom to life, both in his work and personal life, was a testament to his character.
Alexander's love for his family was like a steady, comforting lighthouse amidst the storms of life. He is survived by his dear mother, Yvonne Hernandez, his cherished significant other, Mitzi Burrus, and his loving brother, Dexter Lowe. Alexander was a son, a partner, a brother, and a friend whose kindness and spirit will resonate in the hearts of his loved ones forever. As we remember Alexander, we recall the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."

Alexander "Alika" Kaina Lowe was born in Kahuku, Hawai'i on January 15,1970. A people person from the moment he could speak, Alika left a lasting impression wherever he went and with whoever he met. His positive energy and ability to connect with others made people feel heard and understood. He always knew how to engage, bringing humor and genuine kindness that resonated deeply with those who knew him. Whether it was showing up when you needed him or simply reaching out to reconnect, Alika always made others feel valued and cared for. He lived life fully and authentically, on his own terms.
Over a year ago, Alika was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer. The news was devastating to everyone who knew him, as so many considered him family. Yet, he kept pushing forward-going on road trips, enjoying food adventures between chemo treatments, visiting with friends and family, and spending time at the gun range, which he often said was the only place where he truly felt at ease. Alika was something special-a light that will never fade.
Alika expressed his desire to be at home in his final days, where he passed peacefully on November 21, 2024. His family and close friends gathered around him, just as he had always surrounded them with love.
