Alexander Mark Martinez

Alexander Mark Martinez, 65, husband of Forty Years to Lynn Martinez, died Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born December 5, 1960 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred Jesus and Elizabeth Elaine Walters Martinez. He was a member of Burgin Christian Church, was a graduate of Boces Culinary School and had served as a Volunteer Firefighter in Long Island. He enjoyed being a "Poppy", a loving husband and father; and a loyal servant and friend.

Survivors besides his wife include two daughters: Jennifer (Joseph Monroe) Martinez of Burgin and Courtney (Shannon Borens) Martinez of Danville; two sons: Michael Pelz of Nashville and Stuart (Rebbecca) Martinez of Colorado Springs; one sister Elizabeth (Edmund) Cabrera of Brookesville, FL; four brothers: Alfred Martin and David (Terri) Martinez both of Spring Hill, FL; Eric Martinez of Summerville, SC; and John (Tiss) Webb of London, KY; twelve grandchildren: Skylar Martinez, Alexandria Martinez, Elonia Martinez, Benjamin Martinez, Raiden Martinez, Elowyn Martinez, Gwen Martinez, Noah Hill, Addison Borens, Alice Monroe, Remington Monroe, and Bristol Monroe; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by one sister Donna McGee Martinez.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
