Alex worked as a supervisor for the Middletown Township Road Department, where he retired from in 2005. He enjoyed volunteering
as a softball coach at Red Bank Catholic High School, Mater Dei High School and at the Monmouth County Park System. He helped with numerous programs and special events. Alex loved Atlantic City, fishing and cheering for the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ann Marie(née Schwarz), his sister and brother in law Pat and Ron Dryburgh, his five children along with their spouses: Lisa and James Farver, David and Mary Osnato,Jennifer DiNatale, Danielle Osnato and fiancée Frank, and Ann Marie and Pete Renwick. Alex was a devoted Poppy to his 11 grandchildren: Katie, Matthew, Joseph, Brianna, David Jr. , Michael, Charles, Andrew, Lucas, Bella, Lexi and 6 great grandchildren, Vivian Rose, Luke Jr. , Harper, Brynn, Hailey and Emma.
He also leaves behind his beloved sisters in law: Tracy, Annette (Ron), Diane(Ed), and brothers in law: Arthur(Jenn) and Richard (Tara). Many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Also, his dear friend Reka (Josh) who took extra special care of Alex during his time of need. His feline friends Pikachu, Merlin and Buttons will forever miss their dad.
Though Alex is no longer with us, his legacy of love and the warmth of his embrace will live on in every cherished memory, family tradition, and every act of kindness passed down through the next generation.
Visitation hours will be Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4pm to 8 pm at Pfleger Funeral Home , 115 Tindall Road Middletown, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Alex's name to the Michael J Fox The Parkinson's Foundation.
