Alexander Simonini

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexander John Simonini, who left us on Sunday,
July 6, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on May 19, 1977, in Tacoma, Washington, Alex was the cherished
son of John Peter and Lillian (Vieira) Simonini. He made his home in Auburn Hills, MI, where he left an
indelible mark both personally and professionally as a dedicated Dow and Dupont Lab Technician.
Alex was a devoted father to his daughter, Lexi, who was the light of his life. He is survived by his
beloved parents, John and Lillian, and his treasured siblings Carrieanne (Jansen) DeLoach, Nathan James
(Jennifer Moore) Simonini, and Katherine (Benjamin) Schaus. His presence will be deeply missed by his
nieces and nephews: Elio, Cecelia, Victoria, Isabella, Lorna, Reid, Wyatt and Morgan. Alex also leaves
behind his loving grandmother, Diana Simonini, and is fondly remembered by his uncles Rodney, Jim
(Jeanette), Phillippe Simonini, and Jim (Diane) Vieira, along with numerous cousins and friends.
A man with an innate aptitude for mathematics and science, Alex had a zest for life that was evident in
all his pursuits. He was an Eagle Scout who cherished the great outdoors, enjoyed camping at Camp Sim
in the Adirondack Mountains, and ambitiously biked 600 miles over 12-days from Stuttgart, Germany to
Paris, France with his scout troop. For his Eagle Project Alex took on the difficult task of collecting
monetary donations, medical items, clothing, and toys for an orphanage in Lithuania. Alex's passions
included Star Wars, space exploration, science, and history. His kindness extended beyond his
immediate circle as he generously volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.
In celebration of Alex's extraordinary life, a service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:00
AM at The River Church, located at 3411 Airport Rd., Waterford, MI 48329. Following the service, a
reception will be hosted at the church, where family and friends are invited to share memories and find
solace together.
Alex's life was a testament to curiosity, compassion, and boundless affection for those he held dear. He
will be forever remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege to know and love him.
