Alexandra B. (Tselios) Pappas, a longtime resident of Allston and beloved wife of the late William K. Pappas, passed away at her home on Thursday morning, January 16, 2025. She was 97 years old.
Born in Gline, Albania, she was the beloved daughter of the late Demetrios and Efthemia Tselios. Mrs. Pappas was the proprietor of the Coolidge Market in Allston since she opened in 1979. She loved working at the market and serving the community. She was a devout Orthodox Christian,and spent time in the holy lands of Jerusalem. Alexandra will be dearly missed by her family, friends, the local community, and the customers of Coolidge Market.
She is survived by her loving sons; Paul B. Pappas and his partner, Doreane McFarland of Salisbury, MA and Angelo B. Pappas of Allston, MA, son-in-law; Stephen A Brickman, grandchildren; Elizabeth Brickman and Alexanderand his wife Maureen Brickman and Lindsay, Jennifer and Joshua Pappas and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Effie Brickman and sister of the late Spiro and Christopher Tselios. She would also like to remember Stavros and Ellie Zhonga, and her close friends Phyllis Harrington and Lynn Bennett.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in Sts. Constantine & Helen Church, 71 Chandler Road, Andover on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the church, prior to the service, from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. Donations in Alexandra's memory may be made to Operation Smile, P.O. Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063. www.worldvision.org.
