A memory about my time living in the surf shack with Alex .
Well honeslty I have so many funny memories, so many silly days spent surfing, swing in hammocks and discuss our smoothie experiements for the next morning .
But I only have space for a few great memories, so I have to say that time I came home crying about a boy, and you welcomed me home for an extra week in the surf shack with open arms and comforted me , while comforting me I saw you had put your surf find in backwards and we fell to the ground crying of laughter and said. "No wonder I didnt catch any waves... I also couldnt get the tail fin to stay in hahahha". Your willingness to be 100% you is what I loved the most about you. You didnt care what other thought and you always just charged it even when the task / surf was way to big. You would always push me to go out, and I am so thankful for you and your confidence
Another memory I will always hold close to me, is that last week we had together, when the longboard wave at Cabo was on and I desperately wanted to surf a longboard, so you woke up with me at 4 am singing to our favourite Kevin Morby, slidding boards on the quad and bikins on riding 35minutes through the jungle to surf a longboard wave for me
Thank you Alex for everything I will never forget you or the times we had together I love you

Alexandra had an unmatched fire for life whether it be at work, in her creative outlets, in her personal relationships, or in her passions. I was always in awe of the way she invited experiences to enrich her life and turned them into ways of connecting more deeply with the ones she loved around her - championing DE&I efforts while managing difficult projects and stakeholders in our day jobs, patiently disciplining and meticulously caring for young Bodhi while sharing his love around to his aunties, excitedly painting artwork to capture anything that inspired her in the moment, encouraging me to join her in her numerous wellness activities like yin yoga and surfing, and organizing activities that create a sense of home and closeness for those around her no matter where she went. In everything she did, Alex moved with intention and sparkle and wanted to bring as many people as she could along for the ride, both sharing the stoke and sharing in the stoke of her community's wins. Her generous spirit, tenacity, play, and unbridled joy contributed to the sparkle she carried that encouraged me to challenge to lean into what I feared with more laughter, and believe I am capable of more than I thought possible. Love and miss you friend but carry you everywhere I go!

There are a few, but one that sticks out when I think of her is the first time we hung out outside of a school setting, which helped remove ourselves from the grind of boarding school and feel like teenagers again.
My first time hanging out with Ally outside of Choate was a backyard camping adventure with a few other friends. She was so incredibly warm and welcoming, and conscious of making everyone comfortable while playing host. She made it easy. She made it fun. And that is who she was and is. We camped in the backyard in the early fall of our 4th form year at Choate. The next morning, feeling groggy and exhausted, we woke up to the hunt gathering around us. She pleasantly forgot to mention that part prior to camping, which made for a special memory of laughter and friendship. I´ll miss her laugh and smile and warm heart. Be well, Ally, and check in on us from time to time.

Santa Teresa lost a radiant light. Known for her infectious smile and boundless energy, Alexandra was more than a devoted surfer; she was a cherished friend whose presence could uplift even the cloudiest of days. Her smile was her signature, bringing warmth and joy wherever she went. Her gift for connecting with others and her unwavering positivity made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Alexandra was a charger. She never backed down. I remember many times but one in particular where Alexandra pushed me to believe in myself and to challenge myself knowing I was capable of more than I could imagine. We sat watching the waves and I expressed my hesitance "I´m not so sure about paddling out it looks big" .... Alexandra with a huge smile on her face and no fear looked at me and said, "no way, we are here, we are going, are you kidding me we can freaking do this." With that we paddled out. Throughout the paddle out as we drifted a bit further a part Alexandra and I had a full conversation, but neither of us could actually hear the other one and we were just shouting and making grand hand gestures. There were so many times I was ready to give up but kept carrying on watching the determination and commitment that Alexandra had. We eventually made it to the line up and started hysterically laughing knowing that we had two completely different conversations on our way out. On several occasions I had tried to tell her maybe we should turn back on paddle in and she had been cracking up trying to tell me her bathing suit was falling off. Of course once we made it out to the lineup I still was cautious about the size of the waves and Alexandra just sat out back with a huge smile on her face and sent it on these massive waves. She was always so resilient, passionate and driven. I will always remember how fearless and courageous Alexandra was and how she breathed all of that into myself and those around her.
