Alexandria Laurenza Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. from May 13 to May 23, 2025.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Alexandria "Alex" Lynn Laurenza, age 39, who peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Meriden, Connecticut, on April 21, 1986, Alex was the cherished daughter of Anthony Laurenza (Siri) and Patricia Fieber. She attended Meriden and New Canaan schools, where she touched many lives with her kindness and unique spirit.
Alex was a lover of life's simple pleasures, finding peace and joy in the natural world. She had a deep love for gardening, especially in the springtime when the world was "reborn" in vibrant color. There was nothing she loved more than watching flowers bloom, tending to her plants with care and patience. Sewing, coloring, and taking quiet walks in nature were also among her favorite pastimes. Alex's creativity and artistry were not confined to just her hobbies; she brought beauty and grace into every corner of her life.
An old soul, Alex had a special fondness for writing and receiving letters. There was something sacred in the act of sharing words, whether in a heartfelt note or a handwritten letter. To her, each letter was a piece of connection, a thread tying her to the people she loved. Her handwritten notes, thoughtful and full of care, will forever be cherished by those who received them.
Alex was an avid reader and enjoyed the works of authors like Suzanne Collins and Danielle Steel, losing herself in the stories and characters they created. But perhaps most of all, Alex found joy in the beauty of the world around her-watching sunsets paint the sky with color, gazing up at the stars, and feeling a deep sense of wonder and gratitude for the universe.
Alex was a spiritual and faithful person, always looking for the beauty and grace in every moment. Above all, she was devoted to her family, who meant the world to her. She especially cherished the time she spent with her cousins, creating memories filled with laughter and fun. Her love for them was boundless, and her family's love for her will live on forever. Her family was her heart, and the bonds she shared with them were irreplaceable.
Alex is survived by her loving parents, Anthony and Patricia, and her stepmother, Siri. She is also deeply mourned by her sister, Samantha Laurenza; her beloved grandmother, Lucille Lagana; her two nieces, Giavana and Caylah Farzam; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, including her dear friend Ashley. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Sam Lagana, and paternal grandparents, Giovanni and Giovanna Laurenza, and her beloved aunts Lori Nyren and Rose Kevorkian and uncle Luigi Laurenza.
Though Alex's time with us was far too short, the love she shared, the beauty she found in the world, and the lessons she taught us all will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Alex. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E.Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.
