Alfie Sarnacki

Alfie Sarnacki Amsterdam - Alfie Sarnacki returned home to God in heaven on July 8, 2024, at age 89. She was embraced by the angels and those passed loved ones whose lives she so dearly touched.
She departed with dignity on a beautiful, sunny morning, with family by her side; her abundant love filling the room and our hearts.
Alfie is predeceased by her loving husband, Leonard, and her adored son, Michael. Alfie embraces from afar her remaining family, her son Steffen of Halfmoon, her son, Thomas, and his wife Robin of Niskayuna. Plus, her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Nikolas (Haley), Emma, and great granddaughter, Maddie.
Alfie was born and raised in Schenectady, daughter of Glenn and Alfretta Nicholes. Before starting a family, Alfie worked at WRGB. She was an avid gardener. Her grape jelly was a specialty. A champion of those in need, she pursued ministries at the Schenectady Jail and Ellis Hospital. She taught Sunday School and organized a Prayer Chain. She lived the teachings of Jesus Christ every moment of her life, advocating for compassion, unconditional love, and equality.
A Funeral Service at St. George's Episcopal Church, 912 NY-146, Clifton Park, NY will occur on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Park View Cemetery in Schenectady.
