Although it´s been three years since , I have just now read of Alfonso´s death in the Notre Dame High School in Memoriam. Alfonso and I were such good friends from the time we met in class at St. Paul´s School, all through high school and after. In senior year at Notre Dame, he was crowned king of the prom.
He was one of the kindest, most compassionate, and intelligent friends, loved by everyone who met him.
He will be sorely missed by all those whose path he crossed.
I extend my deepest condolences to his parents, Italian, his wife, children, grandchildren and all who were blessed to know him.

To the entire Procaccini Family - I am heartbroken to learn today of Sino's passing. Sino and Italo were our neighbors and friends in Kingston for many years as our yard at 22 Laurel Avenue backed up to their house/yard on Union Street. They arrived in Kingston from Italy when Sino was 10 years old. My siblings (Dolly, Sissy and Mickey) have so many fond memories of growing up with both Sino and Italo. All of the kids in Kingston loved the Procaccini brothers and, of course, all the girls had crushes on them! We played together (girls and boys) at the playground - baseball, basketball and football in addition to riding our bikes. It was a simple childhood where our models were everyone's hard-working struggling parents. Sino and Italo had the nicest parents in the world - humble and simple - always wanting the best for their sons. We loved smelling the aroma of Mrs. Procaccini's cooking while playing in our backyard. I remember being invited over to sample some of her homemade sauce and meatballs. The taste to this day remains etched in my palate. As a town, we followed Sino and Italo's success. The passing of Sino is a true loss to all of us who knew him when he was a boy/teenager and who were lucky enough to see him when he came home from college to visit his parents. Sino, you will be forever missed and your legacy will live on in your children as your parent's legacy lived on in you. We are better for having known you, Italo and your parents - gifts to our entire town of Kingston! Thank you. May you rest in peace with your parents.
Sincerely,
Billie O'Donnell

Great memories of growing up playing basketball and football with Cino and Italo. I remember Cino dad walking up to the school field calling the boys for dinner, an hour later we are still playing. Cino lived 3 houses away from me. Many days going by seeing him at up stairs window studying. Those memories I will always cherish , great times.

I have many many great memories growing up with the Procaccini brothers, Ceno and Itlo (spelling) in Kingston, playing countless football and basketball games in the local park across from their home. Ceno was a mentor to me and very respected. I often mowed their mothers lawn ending in a nice glass of wine from their mother.

I am married to Anthony Fiumenero (Tony), who grew up in the same neighborhood as Alfonso (Tony refers to Alfonso as "Cino"). Tony often mentions the Procaccini brothers, with fondness. They were a large part of his memories growing up in a small community. I lost my extraordinary father this year. I have found our digital frame photos of my father and deceased mother VERY helpful in dealing with their loss; I "see" them every day. Perhaps this may also help the Procaccini family deal with the loss of the awesome Alfonso. May God embrace you in his arms during this difficult time.

Dear Ariane,
I worked at Smith College at the Department of Italian for several years.
Alfonso was for all of us not only our Chair but a friend and one of the most generous, kind, and welcoming people I have ever had the good fortune to meet in my life.
I remember fondly the outings, dinners, and field trips he organized for us with his usual enthusiasm.
I will always keep these memories alive in my heart.
