Alfred Singleton Alexander, United States Army Veteran, age 87, passed away May 24, 2025 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Avis Elizabeth Alexander. Dearest father to Anita Alexander, Paula Lynn Bohannon (Mike) and Karen Thomas (Jason). Grandchildren: Rachael Dodge (Brian), Zachary Anderson, Caleb Bohannon (Abby), Joshua Bohannon (Tayler), Amy Forehand (Ben), Will Bohannon (Monica), and Levi and Benjamin Thomas. Loving Great Grandfather to several.
Alfred was a devoted member of The Gideons International, a member of the Cameron Hunting Club and worked as a dedicated Automotive Technician for Shell Oil for 30 years.
Alfred enjoyed hunting and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and remained a champion of his girls and family throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogeechee Area Hospice 200 Donehoo St, Statesboro, GA 30458 or to The Gideons International P.O. Box 97251 Washington, DC 20090-7251.
Visitation will be held at The First Baptist Church Statesboro, 108 N Main St. from 10:00-11:00 am Tuesday, May 27, 2025 with Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 am in the sanctuary. Interment Private.
