Alfred Compitello, 81 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home.
Born Wednesday, June 23, 1943 in Hoboken, New Jersey to the late Carmine and Lucy Compitello. When Alfred was 10 years old the family would move to Union City, New Jersey. Alfred was a graduate Union Hill High School. It was growing up in Union City where he would meet the love of his life, Patricia Finn. After high school the couple would marry and start a family of their own. In 1970 the family would move to Old Bridge, New Jersey where they raised three beautiful children.
Alfred had a long career as a police officer. He worked for Conrail which would become CSX for 37 years before his retirement. He was very proud of his service as a police officer. Alfred enjoyed going fishing and playing Bingo. He enjoyed spending time up in the Poconos, and watching baseball and football. More than anything Alfred loved being with his family. He was a family man who would always be there when anyone needed anything. Alfred will be missed by all those that love him.
Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Carmine and Lucy, and by his siblings, Anthony, Justine, and Madeline.
Alfred is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Patricia, his loving children Jacqueline Compitello, Anthony Compitello and his wife Lisa, and Jennifer Compitello, his cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Alissa and Kayla, and his caring sister Anna Schmidline
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
