Alfred Bernard Mears Jr.

In humble submission to the will of God, we announce the earthly transition of Alfred B. Mears, Jr. on November 26, 2024. He was employed by The Florida Times Union and retired after 37 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his son, Alfred Bernard Mears, II; grandchildren, Alfred Bernard Mears, IV, Devant'e Mears of Orlando, FL; great-grandson, Alfred Bernard Mears, V; siblings, Harriett Milanda Clayton (Alfred) of Neese, SC, Diana Brown (Clarence); former spouse, Deloris C. Mears; aunt, Loretta Inabinett of Islandton, SC; loving nieces, April Clayton, Ahsha Gamble and Alissa Wannamaker; and a host of other relatives and caring friends.
