Alfred Miller, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly on April 3, 2025. He was 76 years old.
The son of Alice and Alfred Miller Sr. he was born in Allston Massachusetts before moving to Malden where he would spend the rest of his childhood before joining the Airforce, where he would attain the rank of sergeant before being honorably discharged in 1973.
Alfred dedicated over 40 years to his career as a truck driver and was a long time member of The Teamsters Loc. #25, a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication. Beyond his professional life, he found great fulfillment as a volunteer scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, positively impacting the lives of many young scouts.
Alfred's favorite pastimes included reading, woodworking and fishing. Above all, he treasured moments spent surrounded by loved ones.
Alfred is survived by his devoted wife Ida (Sis), his sons Sean (husband Chris Pritchard) of Amesbury and Chris Miller of Amesbury, his daughter Jennifer Miller of Saugus, his sister Kathleen (Kathy) D'entremont of New Hampshire, his cherished grandchildren Claire and Gideon, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved cat Dusty.
Funeral services will be held privately to honor Alfred's memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to either Scouting America or the MSPCA, which reflected values and interests he deeply cared about throughout his life.
