Alfred A. Sem

Alfred (Fred) A. Sem 98, of Osterville, passed away on Monday, November 13th, 2023. He was the beloved Husband of the late Mary J. Sem to whom he was married 69 years. Fred was born in Boston and later moved to West Roxbury where he and Mary raised their family.
Fred proudly served in WW II as a cook aboard the Destroyer, USS Clarence K. Bronson. After completing his tour of service, he returned home to marry the love of his life, Mary.
He worked for Stanhope Binderies in Boston as a supervisor for many years before retiring to Osterville in 1995
He enjoyed the beach with Mary and looked forward to their numerous visits during the warm summer months.
Fred is survived by his daughter Barbara Kelleher of Quincy, son Peter and his wife Joan of Pembroke and son Paul and his wife Judi of Walpole. Fred is also survived by his Granddaughters: Nicole and her husband Arthur Brooks, Jessica and her husband Mike Filice, Jacqueline and her husband Corey Davidson, Amanda and her husband Tyler Corcoran and Stephanie Sem. He is also survived by his Great-grandchildren Tristan, Piper and Gianna. Fred was predeceased by his son-in-law Barry Kelleher.
A period of visitation will be at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 76 Wianno Ave, Osterville, MA followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
