Alfred Wanderlingh III, age 65, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on August 12, 2025.

Alfred was a devoted father, grandfather, son, and brother. He began his career in sales before pursuing his true passion of helping people quit cigarettes. As the owner of a vape shop, he transformed the way vaping was done and is credited with helping countless people, including his son Alfred IV, move away from tobacco.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing Texas Hold'em, and perfecting the art of barbecue and smoked meats. Alfred had a special gift for bringing people together, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his children and his loyal dog, Buddy.

He is survived by his seven children: Laraine (Justin) Alfred (Sara) Alisher, Angelina, Joseph, Nicholas, and Olivia (Robert); and his four grandchildren: Annabelle, Mia, Tristan, and Adilyn. He is also survived by his loving mother, Lucia "Lucy" Wanderlingh; his sisters Maria Camarda (Jerry) and Josephine Hillenbrand (John); brother Salvatore Cipolla (Jean); his nieces and nephews; and Dawn Wanderlingh, his former spouse and forever friend.

Alfred was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Wanderlingh Jr.

At this time, no service is planned. The family encourages all who knew Alfred to remember his passion, his determination, and the many lives he touched.
