Alfred Williams IV, 77, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.
Alfred will be laid to rest privately Oakwood Cemetery in Raliegh.
Alfred was born on November 12, 1948, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to the late Alfred Williams III and Lucy Andrews.
Well known and deeply respected throughout the community, Alfred was the owner and operator of Al Williams Properties of Atlantic Beach. He believed strongly in giving back to his community and lived out that belief through his service on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastal Plains and the Board of Carteret Health Care. His commitment to helping others and strengthening the community left a lasting impact.
A faithful and devoted member of First Methodist Church in Morehead City, Alfred's life was grounded in his faith, his integrity, and his quiet generosity.
He was a lifelong supporter of UNC Athletics and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. Alfred could often be found on the water fishing, on the golf course enjoying a round with friends, or spending time with those he loved most.
Above all, Alfred treasured his family. He was a devoted husband of 40 years, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his warm smile, and the deep love he had for his family and community.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Virginia "Gina" Williams; daughter, Susan Williams Mason (Walter Benjamin Mason III) of Greenville, SC; son, Alfred Williams V (Lauren) of Raleigh, NC; sister, Lucy Clyde Blount Williams of Morehead City, NC; brothers, Judson Blount Williams (Dargan) of Raleigh, NC and Donaldson Gray Williams of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren, Walter Benjamin Mason IV, Virginia Williams Mason, and Lucy James Williams.
