Alfreda Faye "Freda" Bice, 82, of Mobile, AL, passed away October 2, 2025 in Hattiesburg, MS after a short illness.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held Sunday October 5th in Mobile, AL.

Freda was born in Alma, GA July 30, 1943 to the late Darsey Astor and Ruby Rebecca Boatright of Bristol, GA. She lived the majority of her fabulous life in Mobile where she raised her four children and attended nursing school. She proudly started her nursing career in 1987 and continued working until retirement in 2010. Freda enjoyed spending time with people, telling captivating stories, listening to gospel music, reading, and playing word games & crosswords. She loved traveling around the country with family and friends; especially with her daughters, sister Joy, and life long friend Nancy Nelson. Freda was a kind-hearted and fun-loving person who lived a full life and made the most of every moment; she recognized the simplistic beauty around her and thanked God for her blessings daily. She was beloved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her Sister, Norma Jean Smith (Marvin deceased); Brother, Stanley Warren Boatright (Frances); and Granddaughter Catherine Jane Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wilbur Frank Bice III of Mobile; four children; Amber LeAnne Miller (Tommy); Melissa JoAnne Bice; Wilbur Frank Bice IV (Mikki); and Heather Diane Annable (Zac); Sister, Barbara Joyce Knight (Dell deceased); 10 Grandchildren, Charlotte Faye Robinson (Dylan), Anne Margaret Miller, Julie Diane Bice, Wilbur Frank Bice V (Luisa), Leyton Joseph Bice, Aidan Dorsey Bice, Lila Sue Bice, Winston Alexander Annable, Laurence Edward Annable, Holden Christopher Annable.
