Fred dedicated 27 years of his life to HEB, where his diligent work ethic and commitment were well known. As a hard-working man, he exemplified integrity and determination, earning the respect of his colleagues and friends. His professional journey was marked by a deep sense of responsibility and a sincere desire to support his family.

Together, they raised three wonderful children: Abi Sharma, Sarah Lynn Lopez, and Joshua Lopez, who carry forward the values he instilled in them. He was also a proud grandfather to Delilah Edmonds, Aubree Edmonds, Ahmar Lewis, Ahmariah Lewis, Nathaniel Perez, Ethan Perez, Noah Lopez, and Erik Perez, who cherished the time spent with their beloved grandfather.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Dominga Ponciano, whose guidance shaped the man he became. He is also reunited in spirit with his siblings, Martha Ponciano and Jose Antonio Ponciano, both of whom he missed dearly.
Fred was more than a grandfather he was a father figure to those who didn’t have one and a source of unwavering strength and love. His kindness, strength and wisdom left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A man of simple joys and strong values, Fred loved spending his days fishing, enjoying delicious Mexican food, and cherishing every moment with his grandchildren. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by those he loved most, sharing stories, and good meals together.
Fred’s hardworking spirit and love for family will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and togetherness that will live on through his children, grandchildren, and everyone whose lives he touched.
Though he may be gone, the lessons he taught and the love he gave will forever remain in our hearts.
