Ali David Mahfuz

Ali David Mahfuz, 70, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH. He was born on June 21, 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Fouad H. Mahfuz and Ameena Zion Mahfuz. Ali was the youngest of four and survived by sisters Nadia Mahfuz and Maleeka Lloyd; brother, Sy Mahfuz and sister-in-law, Janet Mahfuz.
Ali graduated from Nashua High School in 1971 and went on to do several trade jobs before settling back in Nashua, NH. Sophocles once said, "Sons are the anchors of a mother's life," and nothing could be truer for Dad and "Sito". Ali spent the better part of 20 years taking care of his mother. His endearing daily trips to Dunkin Donuts with her were the highlight of their days.
Ali was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed skiing, camping, and hiking. Ali spent a decade working at Snowbird Ski Resort near Salt Lake City, Utah. He passionately taught skiing and snowboarding lessons to vacationers at the resort year around. He was always amazed at how the weather was summerlike at the bottom of the mountain but as you climbed, it became winter and perfect ski weather.
Ali is survived by daughters, Linnea Shirley and Alisha Shirley; granddaughter, Adrianna Rainey. He also leaves behind niece, Dina Lloyd and husband, Dave Malling; nephew, Adam Lloyd; nephew, Fouad Mahfuz; niece, Medina and Tyler Gauthier (husband); niece, Lisa Ameena Mahfuz and her spouse Lisbeth Melendez Rivera; niece, Amie and her husband Jim Hiatt; niece, Maylee Hiatt; niece, Josie Gauthier; nephew, Myles Gauthier; and nephew, Max Hiatt.
A graveside service will be held on Monday May 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St., Nashua, NH. For those who wish to make a memorial contribution in Ali's memory are encouraged to donate to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua.
