Alice Bernice Barth, age 92, of Upper Saint Clair formerly of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Loving wife of the late Donald Otto Barth and mother of Nancy (Edward) Bordy, Peter (Rhonda) Barth, Larry (Linda) Barth and Susan Hilf. Proud grandmother of Lisa (Mark) Leyva, Nathan (Mary Alice Hartsock) Bordy, Eric (Katie Storck) Barth, George Hilf III, Emily Barth and Sara Hilf. Cherished great-grandmother of Everett Hartsock Bordy, Ada Hartsock Bordy and Hazel Barth. Alice was preceded in death by her parents James Lester Thomson and Myrtie Belle Howard Thomson, and three sisters Edith, Ruth and Lottie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Alice quietly pursued many interests. She was an avid bird watcher, stamp collector, gardener and puzzle worker who loved music, played piano, and followed politics and current events. She was an active member of First Bethel United Methodist Church where she founded and was dedicated to the Church Library. Alice treasured her family and her family history.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER. Friends received Monday November 22, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray PA, 15317. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 PM at Friendship Village, 1290 Boyce Rd, Upper St Clair, PA 15241. Private Interment at Jefferson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Bethel United Methodist Church ( https://firstbethelumc.org/ ) or the Allegheny Health Network Home Hospice ( https://www.ahn.org/services/healthcare-at-home/hospice/donations ). Please add and view tributes at www.beinhauer.com.
