Ben sat in front of me in the 5th grade at Bryan School. We had some great times together. As the Mayor of Cresskill , when he wasn't busy working, he was a great friend to the American Legion. I will miss you my old friend. May you, and Alice rest in peace.

Ben and Alice joined together for eternity. Two kids in love, really in love and everybody knew it. Their lives together bore that out for sure. They raised fine children and were a good son and daughter. They loved the community they lived in and made it a better place for everyone. High-school oh my. Alice was the demure quiet one, Ben on the other hand with his amazing huge smile of surprise would always crack you up. Ben's success in the business world and that of politics turned on one thing..his respect for his fellow man!! He couldn't lose with that attitude. So as the word spreads that Alice and Ben are gone I guarantee you there will be plenty of tears shed for this loving couple who made such an impact on so many people. Love you both and I know you'll rest in peace. Jason Carle

I worked with Alice side by side for 6 years. She was always a pleasure to have as a friend. Ben was a friend of my husband as far back as little league. We are shocked and saddened by their passing, they will be
missed. Condolences to Brian and Kristin and the grandkids.

What a life of service the Romeos created, both at home and in the public realm! I am fortunate to have known and taught both their children and their grandchildren.....What a wonderful family!
Mayor and Mrs. Romeo are a terrific example of lives well-lived!
Very sincerely,
Barbara Muller
