Zion Baptist Church and sang in the Young Adult Choir in addition to being the first president. Later, Alice joined Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church and was a member of the Missionary Society, Steward Board and Chancel Choir. She moved to California to escape the Peoria winters and to be closer to her children. After moving to Pasadena, CA she joined First A.M.E. Church under leadership of Rev. Dr. Larry E. Campbell and was a member of the 90+ club.
