Alice S. Chalik (nee Deuter)
Age 76 of Mokena, IL passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, while surrounded by her family and loved ones. Alice was born in Chicago, IL to the late Arthur and LaVerne (nee Volpe) Deuter.
Beloved wife of Robert J. Chalik; loving mother of Diana (Fred) Ciocci; cherished grandmother of Kayley (Alex) Galassini, Anthony (Julie) Ciocci, and Brandon (Shelly) Ciocci; proud great grandmother of Leo Galassini and Kennedy Ciocci (expected in April 2026); dear sister of Joanne (David) Frantz, the late Arthur Deuter, and Barbara (James) Turcich; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.
Alice enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking family-favorite desserts, camping and taking family vacations, as well as hunting for a bargain at thrift stores and garage sales while pursuing her treasures. Most of all, her greatest passion in life was her family — she was someone who loved well and was well loved. We will keep a part of her in our hearts forever.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 3:00 pm until the time of Funeral Service at 7:00 pm. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
