Alice Heather Cooper

Cortland - Alice Heather Cooper, 72 formerly of Sterling Ontario Canada passed away Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital. Heather was born May 14, 1952 in Trenton Ontario Canada, a daughter of the late Bruce and Beth MacDonald. She graduated from Queens University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and from Kent State University with a Master in Counseling.
Heather retired from Belmont Pines Hospital; was a stakeholder for the American Cancer Society for several years; and greatly enjoyed going on Caribbean Cruises.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Stephen Cooper, whom she married in June 29th 1994; her daughter, Christina L. Holmes of Girard; and four granddaughters, Kaitlyn N. Johnson, Lauren M. Johnson, Meegan A. Dockery, and Kennedy P. Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Kevin Pascoe.
Per Heather's wishes; cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
