Alice Curry Obituary
Alice was born on November 19, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Robert Vinton Singer and Beatrice (Pierre) Singer.
Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her son, Garland H. Curry and seven siblings.
Left to cherish the memory of Alice is her son, Phillip C. Curry; granddaughter, Merridith Curry, and sisters, Grace Singer and Rebecca Mitchell.
Alice lived a full and meaningful life shaped by her lifelong devotion to the Bahá'í Faith. Her faith guided the way she treated others and showed in her kindness, patience, and quiet generosity.
She had a true gift for knitting and crocheting and spent many happy hours creating beautiful pieces for family and friends. Alice also loved working in her garden, where she found peace and satisfaction in watching things grow. Golf was another favorite pastime, giving her both enjoyment and time outdoors.
Alice kept her mind sharp with crosswords and sudoku, puzzles she tackled with determination and good humor. And she was an avid reader. Whether she was working on a project, tending her garden, or solving a puzzle, she did so with care and enjoyment. She was renowned within the Singer clan for her encyclopedic memory of family birthdays.
She will be remembered for her gentle nature and her lively sense of humor, her many talents, and the simple joys she shared with those around her. Alice's presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
A Funeral Service for Alice will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:00am at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51, Niles, Michigan 49120. Burial will immediately follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
A celebration of life is in the planning stages and will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
